I don't know if anyones mentioned it yet.
But I have a strong feeling that RAB is Relgulus Black.
In the 5th book on page 116, while everyone was cleaning up Sirius' house, towards the bottom of the page it says that they found a heavy gold locket that nobody could open. Could this be the horcrux?
Also a friend of mine pointed out that his uncle's had been named alphard or something of that sort, maybe causing his middle name to start with an A.
So let's see now. In the 5th book, it says that Regulus joined the Death Eaters and that his parents agreed with Voldemort, along with others, but wouldn't do what Voldemort was willing to do to gain power. Regulus became a Death Eater, but later panicked when he realized what he had to do, and in the end Sirius says that he was either sent to be killed by Voldemort or by Voldemort himself. And as for that locket thing being in Siriu's house, it could be the horcrux, because in that note thing found in the fake horcrux, R.A.B. says that it was he who stole it and found his secret.
Now. This can get complicated. Sirius said he, Regulus, panicked about what he was being asked to do on Voldemort's orders. In that note thing, this R.A.B. person says that he discovered Voldy's secret and was going to destroy the horcrux. According to Sirius, Regulus tried to back out and was later killed. Too long. I quit. I'm confusing myself, I only make sense in my head.
