(no subject)
I seem to be in the slight minority lol but I really liked the book. I found all the new Voldemort information really interesting, especially with his whole relationship with dumbledore. But there are like some main things on my mind:
number one: Ok, I thought there was serious foreshadow that dumbledore wasn't really dumbledore, like with all the stuff at the beginning about polyjuice potion and how he said "Oho" at one point in the cave. Did he ever say that before? Anyways, I was clinging to the belief that it wasn't really him, juist because it seemed so out of character for him to act the way he did at the very end. But I suppose with the big send off and everything he really is dead.
number two: How could Snape have fooled Dumbledore that much? He's supposed to be the all powerful wizard...is it at all possible that Snape really was good and it was just the unbreakable Vow that made him have to kill dumbledore? But then I guess he wouldn't have made the vow if he were good...I suppose I always thought Snape was just nasty, but not truly evil and loyal to Voldemort.
number three: For some reason I always hoped Draco would join the good side...so do you think he will? I mean, he never seemed totally bloodthirsty, and the fact that he was crying to a ghost like myrtle? It just seemed like a big change that might play out later. Actually, it seems to me like a heck of a lot needs to be resolved in the next book....it's probably going to be like 1000 pages...
Finally: Man I was so mad when I was like at page 560 or something and I still didn't know who the god-damned half blood prince was. And about the whole fanfiction thing... I think pretty much any relationship that was put into the books would've seemed like fanfic since there is so much of it lol...but I kinda thought the Ginny thing came out of nowhere, and then went away just as quickly...kind of weird.
