As far as RAB is concerned, I've heard people say they think that's Regulus Black, though we don't have definite information on his middle initial. That would certainly be an interesting turnaround, though, given Sirius' opinion of Regulus.
As for Snape, I know several people have this theory, and my friend explains it as well as anyone else here. I think it makes a lot more sense this way, because otherwise JKR has thrown so many of her themes and so much of her characterization out the window for a cheap, surface thrill.
The shippy stuff was fun, and it was nice to see R/Hr and H/G vindicated in JKR's characteristic deft way.
I cried, too, from Dumbledore's death on. It was just so sad!
I really don't think Snape betrayed Dumbledore. I think Dumbledore knew what was coming, and probably for quite awhile, as Snape made the Unbreakable Vow at the beginning of the book. I can't see Dumbledore begging for his life, but I can see him begging Snape to do something necessary that Snape didn't want to do.
Oy feel like I'm posting this over and over lol But this theory must get out there, because I'm telling you...SNAPE IS NOT BAD!
Here, this is from my own journal, to save myself from retyping...and I believe RAB is Regulus Black, and the locket mentioned in the 5th book is what they're looking for.
So I had guessed that Dumbledore would be killed. I think, in Harry's 7th year, it's appropriate for him to have to face Voldemort alone. Wow was it sad, though. Worse than Sirius's death. She just wrote this one beautifully
