Just a few comments on the book. I tried not to get into anything I've seen over and over elsewhere. :)
The Horcruxes: OK, I had to mention this, even though everyone else has :) I thought this was a brilliant idea. Pure evil, committing murder to split one's own soul in order to gain immortality. And Voldemort did it seven times. No wonder he's barely human at this point. Hunting down the Horcruxes in Book Seven is going to be a challenge; I'm glad it's not something simple, like Harry just having to master a spell or something. I've heard people say that maybe Voldemort used Harry as one of his Horcruxes, which would make sense if Harry was the final descendant of Gryffindor, as has been speculated. But would Voldemort know Harry's heritage? And he went to Godric's Hollow to kill Harry, so he wouldn't be putting his soul in a living thing, so I don't see how Harry could be a Horcrux. Unless Volemort intended to put his soul in Harry's dead body, which I suppose is possible.
D.A.D.A. class: We have almost no indication of how this class went for Harry this year. Considering his absolute favorite class was taken over by a teacher who terrorized him, you'd think we'd have seen more of it. How was Snape different, teaching a class he'd coveted for years? How did he treat Harry, this being a subject Harry excelled at? Basically, what happened in this class? Also, it's interesting that Voldemort's curse on the D.A.D.A. post held; Snape will most definitely not be coming back next year.
Godric's Hallow: I think that in Book Seven Harry is going to spend some cleansing time here putting his demons to rest before he goes on the journey to destroy Voldemort's horcruxes. I imagine he'll finally do some serious examination of his emotions dealing with his parents' death, Sirius' death, and Dumbledore's death, and I think this will also be a time for Harry, Ron and Hermione to grow closer.
The Dursleys: I'm extremely curious to see what is going to happen on Harry's last visit to the Durleys in Book Seven; I'm sure this visit will be the last that we see of them. I'm also sure Uncle Vernon will try to find a way to wheedle some of Harry's gold out of him.
Harry the Auror: Harry's not continuing at Hogwarts, so obviously his plans of becoming an Auror are down the drain. I think this is telling; Harry is stripping off his youthful dreams, abandoning the home he grew as a wizard in, and giving up schoolboy crushes to go after Voldemort. Life as he knew it is over.
