So I skimmed but haven't seen this mentioned...
I can't help thinking that Snape is still good.
I know that he and Dumbledore are both skilled Occlumens.
Dumbledore was cornered and injured, I don't think he could see himself surviving so when Snape comes along maybe Dumbledore got his attention and used occlumency to tell Snape to just kill him.
It seemed like Snape was the only one who could save him, but to do so he'd have to show his loyalty to Dumbledore in front of a group of death eaters. Maybe Dumbledore thought that there was a chance he wouldn't make it anyway...
That way Snape doen't break his vow and he didn't have to reveal that he was only a spy acting as a death eater (he surely would have been killed right there if he made an attempt to help D).
Then he runs off with Malfoy - and the way he talked to Harry made me think he really wanted Harry out of it, not just so Voldemort could kill him.
I'm not a big snape fan, for all I care Harry can kill him, and Malfoy, too...
but it still seems weird ... the way snape goes completely to the dark side at the end...
okay its late and I may have not made sense...
