It was one year ago this weekend that universal love of Harry Potter books and their author was unexpectedly and irreparably wrecked and ruined. It was probably also the first time fans returned a HP book, and JKR got hate mail, hate, and accused of being a very poor writer
( ... )
And if book 7 makes everything all right again ...
I find myself, over time, growing slightly more hopeful that a) the 7th book might turn out to be OK, and b) it might turn out to be H/Hr after all. Or, at the very least, have a believable romantic element in it - if there is one - something I can enjoy, that will satisfy me. Like a lot of the fan fiction out there that proved superior to HBP.
But I can't see how she can do it without making HBP even more farcical than it was. And even if the H/G 'monster' can be explained away, how can the belittling/destruction/eradication/whatever-call-it of Hermione's character be justified?
