Oh, god, this is good. There is win in every freaking line. Let me count the ways:

I'll start with the end: just perfect.

in the cheerful way of one who was not the deputy headmistress and was not required to understand the headmaster’s thoughts

The curse, indeed - one would expect a woman who taught about electricity and telephone lines to be more scientifically-minded

"Which one’s psychology again?" Flitwick asked. "Is that the one about the bumps on your head?"

singing a ribald song about the Minister of Magic and a double-ended newt
HAHA! Unfortunately, I can very clearly see this.

Everyone so nicely in-character, too.

Why is my school staffroom never this fun?

Thanks! :D

And thanks for coming up with this challenge; I don't really write McGonagall a lot, but somehow she took prominance in this fic and it was a lot of fun. :)

Oh, God, this is brilliant. Seriously, from the first paragraph onward I was giggling (very, very quietly, my whole house is asleep). Snape looking for his cloak is hilarious, the Gwenog Jones story is amazing, and McGonagall is just...brilliant. YAY CHARITY, by the way. I love how you wrote them all. Hilarious, fantastic; I loved it. :D

Thanks! :D Writing Charity was interesting because it was about halfway through the fic that I realized that my idea of her was way, waaaaaaay more from my own head than from canon.

"Sibyll had a vision of Slughorn staying at Hogwarts for another thirty years. With her record, he’ll probably be gone before the month’s out."

LOL!

This was awesome in every way -- I can just see this happen. Thanks for a wonderful read!

I have nothing to offer but so much squee that I'm bursting with it! How did you know that I positively hunger for glimpses of what the professors are like when not seen through the eyes of a student? I cannot quote back my favorite lines because I loved every word. Instead I'll just say that I've never enjoyed Filius Flitwick so much before!

Thanks!

I always sort of liked Flitwick; he doesn't get a lot of attention in canon, but he seems like he'd be a really great teacher to have because he seems so enthused about his subject and like he cares a lot about the students. :)

So convincing and so much fun! The way you write the characters to (enter and leave the scene and) play their parts makes it all look so real - like a random part of reality - that I’m doubly impressed when reaching the perfect closing line for a piece of fiction.

It was a little difficult figuring out why Snape was there and how long he should stay, but then I figured even Snape has to misplace something on occasion. Especially when he's under the stress of knowing he's probably going to have to kill Dumbledore.
