Today's the day! Both the HBP movie and hbpchallenge are open!
I want to play! What do I do? For starters, leave a prompt or two in a comment to this post, to get us thinking about what we want to create. Already have an idea what you want to do? Get started--there's no "claiming" round in this game.
What kinds of prompts work? Any prompt you think might spark fanwork: fic, art, meta, icons, you name it. You can leave a single word or a pairing or a provocative comment or question:

I'd love to see Snape's reaction when he first finds out Harry's using his Potions text

All genres of fanwork are welcome here: slash, het, gen, romance, crack, meta, AU, RPF. Fanworks don't have to be canon-compliant, just inspired by the movie or book.
Can a leave a prompt I think I might want to respond to, myself? Sure, so long as you don't mind if someone else responds to it, as well.
So more than one person can take each prompt, then? Definitely. Remember, this is not an exchange with assigned writers/artists and recipients. Folks may or may not create something based on your prompts. As a creator, you're free to use a prompt (acknowledging the source of your inspiration, of course!) or work from your own ideas.
