Well it's done for another year. Diana, Sabrina and I enjoyed the con. Money was excellent and we talked to all kinds of cool people about fannish stuff. I particularly remember talking favourite Trek captains and favourite doctors with a couple groups. Chatted with some new furry fans,talked shop with fellow dealers and smiled so much my face

Oo, Ireland? Which parts are you going to?

We're starting in Dublin, heading up to the Giant's Causway, down to Sligo, over to Gallaway, doing the ring of Kerry and then back to Dublin. Should be a blast!

Been to Galway and did the Ring of Kerry. If you have at all any flexibility, between the two, see if you can go to Dingle, a charming village just north of the Ring and a beautiful peninsula!

When in Galway, try to go to the downtown Monroe's Pub - beautiful, "cosy", and nightly music - Tuesdays are set dance nights at 9pm, can't get more traditional than that. Like many real pubs, there's nothing solid once the kitchen closes at 9pm, and there's precious few sit-down tables, but lots of round high tables to lean on and put your drink on. I had a blast there, one of the few pig pubs that really had that authentic feel.
