Today, Toronto passed a bylaw outlawing the sale of shark fins! I am so happy about this. Yes, shark fin soup is a traditional chinese delicacy but it's been proven that we can't harvest sharks in a sustainable manner and shark populations are dropping alarmingly! Further evidence that Mayor Ford is completely clueless: in a interview earlier in the day, while he was stating that he would not support a ban, he said,"They've been selling shark fin for years, I don't know why it's become an issue all of a sudden.."

The man is unreal. I'm so glad I don't have him as a mayor.

What a dick. One wonders if he cannot read or is just stupid. And yes, glad he's not my mayor either. At least it was just him and two others that voted against the ban.
