Forgot to mention one of the aumsing happenings at AC. Generally the locals are pretty amused and bemused by the convention. Local resturants attract attendees with t shirts, special meal deals and such. This year for some reason there were tons of locals trying to crash the con, slipping into the hotel and convention centre to get thier photos ( Read more... )

Slept in my own bed last night for the first time in a week. The cats were much pleased:) Anthrocon was most excellent on many levels. The trip down was smooth and set up went well. Safe at a Diana's.No problem at the border, Today we're off to Pittsburgh. See you there! I'll be running a panel on Photography for the artist on Thursday. Not sure of the time. I'll be talking about everything from choosing a camera, how to get the most out of a zoo trip and using your photography in artwork. Check the schedule!

Well the money was down a bit this year but the show was it's usual fun time. I love my fellow vendors at this show, it's always great to hang out and chat with them. Spent the last couple days printing, matting and bagging art in preps for this weekends show. I'll be at the Guelph Enchanted Grove, better known as Faerie Fest. It's held at Riversdie park and the weather forecast is for pleasant temps and sun. Here's hoping. Looking forward to seeing the usual vendors and performers and returning attendees. I read this morning that Vancouver is stepping up and showing the world what they're really like. 10,000 citizens have organized over social media to come out in numbers to clean up their city. That's more like it!

Yes, I can understand being pissed off over losing the cup but really! How does trashing your own city make it any better. It doesn't reflect well on a loverly city and it's people. It makes you look like idiots and sore losers on top. I expect better from my fellow Canadians.
