Hmm. My first post disappeared into the ether. Anyway, I've been flat out for the past few weeks with long days of babysitting. Now I'm trying to get back into the routine of writing every day.

As for a snippet , there's this bit:

“Look,” John said, “I really didn’t mean to cause any problems-“

“That?” Rodney waved his hand in the air as if brushing the embarrassment away. “We argue like that all the time. It’s nothing.”

“You do? I thought you two were happy…” John’s voice trailed off.

“We’re married,” Rodney replied with only a shadow of bitterness in his tone, “I don’t think you’re supposed to be happy. Content with one’s lot, my mom used to say, was all you’re supposed to expect from marriage.”

“Can’t argue with you there,” John said, sitting down at the table. “I wasn’t all that good at being married myself.”

“Except to me,” Rodney said, a small crooked smile on his face. “Zelenka always said we were like an old married couple, remember? I sometimes used to think he suspected- So, still drinking your coffee the same way?”

Another reason for LJ!fail. I'm looking into importing the community over at DW tomorrow or Sunday as a safe back up. Right now I'm working on H50 Bingo and its taking AGES. I should have done it last night before the import frenzy broke out.

Great snippet! I miss SG so much :( But my friend and I finally finished our SGA AU fic. THAT was exhausting.
