Get it out.

Six hours of uninterrupted desking in PJs. Retroactive listmaking is the best - there's already so much to cross off! The easy stuff is, happily, already off your plate... Whatever's left is the minefield.

Nearly-3-year-old bananas are coming out in 5, 4, 3, 2...

I was just looking at my last three wedding galleries and thinking about hits and misses.

For pictures, I like when there are:

long ceremonies
slow aisle-walkers
nondenominational officiants
lots of toasts
twinkly lights
enthusiastic dancers
romantic dancers
old couple dancers
little kid dancers
sober grooms
drunk groomsmen

When I was a teenager, the city was a mysterious network of photo labs, rental houses, nightclubs, and freeway onramps. In the passenger seat I often felt that I would arrive mysteriously at each destination -- familiar blocks would materialize out of vagueness at the end of the ride like innocuous recurring dreams.
