Veganism is working out for me so far. I started on wedsday and I think yesterday (friday) was the hardest. I've been eating veggie delight subs at Subway like crazy tho! and yeah fruits and veggies rock, but if veganism isn't for you don't feel pressured. A lot of people think its a good way to make you skinny --- and it is if you eat right -- but like you said, oreos are vegan. lol.
the commitment is soemthing i eased into. like last year i gave up dairy and junk food. then i gave up red meat. and i dropped all meat a few days ago. so it took me like 2 years to transition, but i feel good about it :)

For me I look for weaves that are 100% human so I can curl or flat iron it without it melting. I like Outre, ModelModel, and Milkyway brands the best. I don't like Beverly Johnson. It used to be good back in the day but it SHEDSSSS like crazy and after you wash it its never the same!
Weaves are expensive (like $100+ for someone to put in, then hair is like $20-60 a bag) so if you wanna work on easing into the fabulous world of hair I suggest clip ins! They have those really nice Jessica Simpson ones in the mall and you can do them yourself ;-)
