Oh, brilliant! I love the way it reads a bit like a mathmatical equation, with the insertion of lines in parentheses. The style is really fabulous and unique. And I'm heartbroken for poor Harry. Hopefully he can get Draco to come around to the real meaning of infinity. :)

Thanks so much! I'm glad you liked the style; I'll start writing like that at random times, non-stop for a day or so, then it's gone. But I always like using it when I can.

And yeah, I felt pretty badly for Harry too, while writing this. I don't like to think that Draco really feels this way, but I do see it just being a truth for Draco, a kind of certainty that everything ends. I do hope Harry can show him otherwise.

Thank you for the comment and kind words! I'm glad you liked the drabble.

That isn't what I had in mind, but it can definitely be seen like that. *loves different interpretations*

Poor Draco. His hope always dies? *sigh*
Perhaps Harry will be able to persuade him otherwise. :)
Lovely.

Yeah, Draco's in a pretty cynical place right now. But I think our faith is rightly placed in Harry to make him realize the truth.

Thanks for the comments, I'm glad you liked it!

I really like this. In fact, it's this sort of contrast that makes H/D such a fun pairing. The optimism is almost canon -- I mean, Harry would have to have some kind of optimistic streak to have come away from the Dursley's house so "normal", right?

I love the whispers, and also the feeling that Harry will get Draco to see the sun rising, if not that day, then maybe the day after, or the one after that. Because there's an infinite number of chances for them.

Sorry this comment is so late; I made one before but it seems that Livejournal ate it.

So anyway, yeah, the contrast between the two defintely add depth and give life to this pairing that not many others have. And it's definitely what makes it so interesting and fun to write. (It's what drew me to the pairing originally, actually).

Harry would have to have some kind of optimistic streak to have come away from the Dursley's house so "normal", right? Yes, completely...that's how I see it, at least. Harry would have to be the optimistic one, because Draco's the one that I can see having suffered disappointments and taken them to heart.

I'm glad you liked the whispers. That element came to me at the last moment and I knew I had to keep them. And you got out of this drabble exactly what I was trying to portray. :-)

Thanks so much for the comments! I'm glad you liked the drabble.
