Notes: Merlin's balls, drawing this brought me back from my self-imposed exile... it has almost made me go completely crazy, too. I had to start several times all over and somehow I ended up turning a very "dramatic" prompt into fluffy domestic!art. I hope you enjoy my interpretation anyway!!! :D

Dark is not an absence of Light
Rather a pedestal in which Light rests.
Vaulted high atop Dark's breast,
Cocooned in strong arms through the night.
Like a beacon, Light becomes most bright
Leaning beside Dark's reassuring chest.
Dark is not an absence of Light
Rather a pedestal in which Light rests.
Alone, Light loses its great height
fading unnoticed from east to west.
But Light's vibrant colors shine the best
When clasped with Dark's fingers tight.
