I was completely in love with this story. This alternate universe where Harry and Draco remain friends despite of standing on two different sides is fantastic. The romance part was so beautiful without being fluffy. The boys' camaraderie helped them be comfortable with each other, and those love scenes... I was wishing for moremoremore:) So many things to remember from this. Draco in the Dursleys' house, their secret meetings in the school, then in the inn... And after the first tragedy, everything went awry. I loved Draco in this, his attempt to make everything better, him sending those letters... Tragic and very moving. Loved every second of it. You made me fall in love with H/D again. So, thank you!

Thank you so much for reading and for your review! I'm so glad that their being friends but on different sides worked for you. And also that the romance worked... I tried hard to not make it ridiculously fluffy, but I think the angst made sure of that all on its own, haha. I so wish they could have had moremoremore... it broke my heart to take all they could have had away. =(

That you said I made you fall in love with H/D again has made every second it took to write this worth it. I know I've left reviews on others' fics letting the author know the exact same thing, and to be on the other end of that... kind of... makes me feel complete. THANK YOU! I am so thrilled I could do that for you. <3

That had me totally entranced from the first word! Heart-breaking and yet so helpful - just the thing I needed this morning.

I loved that beautiful line where Draco is falling in love and it feels like accidental apperation. Perfect!

Man, there's just so much good stuff in there that it's still all floating around in my head and my heart. This was so creative. I don't think I've ever seen a story where things have ended badly from a Harry/Draco friendship scenario. My heart ached for Draco's guilt over what happened, but I hope there's a chance for the alternate Harry and Draco.

Lovely work with the flashbacks the AU! *loves*

Thank you for reading and reviewing, teammate! =D I'm so glad I could help make your morning a little better.

I'm so glad you commented on the love/accidental apparation line. I really found a truth to that likeness of the physicality of it. =)

I'm also so glad that I wrote something that lingered afterward in your head and heart for a while... definitely made me smile. There's definitely a hope for the alternate (or.. canon?) Harry and Draco. Maybe I'll write a sequel. I can't really get my head out of this universe, either!

I'm glad the flashbacks worked for you. Maybe I shouldn't admit this, but those were something I threw together about half an hour before the fic was due! Originally I was going to flesh out those scenes and have them in the beginning of the fic, but decided I needed something else for the end and that they worked better as flashbacks. *TEAM AU LOOOOOOVVEEEEE*

Oooh! confessions! Lovely! :) *teammate love*

I was really curious to see how Harry and Draco became friends, so I enjoyed the glimpse, although I think the story would have stood on it's own after Draco faded away in the shop - or by just tagging Draco's final letter right after the 'shop' scene too. On the other hand, the flashbacks took the sting away from the fire at the inn and the decline of the wizarding world and gave me that flicker of hope that I loved so much!

And yes, I adored their slow drift into love and the way they gradually became bolder with their actions while still having to balance their chaotic world.

Thank you for reading and reviewing! I am glad that my fic managed to impact you in that way - while writing it, I can honestly say I've never felt more 'turned inside out' while writing any other fic. Thank you again! =)

So I don't often comment on fics right after I've read them because my mind is still reading even when I've stopped and I probably make very little sense. But you made me cry so I think you deserve and insta-comment. More on that later, though ( ... )

Guh. Wow. Thank you SO MUCH for your amazing review... it is for the readers that have the potential to be so incredibly affected that I wrote this for in the first place, and you've just made every single second of time I spent on it worth it. I've been here sitting on my hands, rereading my fic over and over again waiting for it to be posted and wondering if ANYONE was going to like it, and it makes me SO HAPPY that you did. You don't even know ( ... )

Yay! I love reading happy comments. =) I thought it was pretty amazing that you did those things and then finding out that they weren't even on purpose makes it all that much cooler. And also, what meredyth_13 said below me about the canon? Just wanted to let you know that I thought about that too...but I guess that got lost in the tears. xP Funnily enough, the thing you did do on purpose was something that I thought worked out on its own. On the whole, this entire thing just works out that I've got a silly grin on my face thinking about it - in the end, having thought about it a bit, the hope you showed throughout definitely wins over the sad bits for me. I don't know, you've given me this faith in Draco through his actions near the end that makes me thing that he'll be the hero and make things proper happy. And I never said but I really like your Draco because of that. He's a little different than I think of him, maybe because of his relationship with Harry but I like the differences ( ... )
