 This weekend was the kickoff for Marathon Kids, which is an attempt to get kids out and moving.  The goal is to go twenty-some odd miles by February, which comes down to about a 1/4 mile a day.  I've measured the "around the block" path in my neighborhood to be about 3/4 mile (or 1/2 mile if you take the short cut), and we've been walking in the ( Read more... )

 Christy has her "seasonal crud" again - pretty much a cold with tons of unpleasantness attached.  She gets sick around this time every year, and is pretty sure it's not a Flu.  She's staying away from the school for a few days to try to spare the kids.  Probably pointless since it's likely they gave it to her in the first place.

 So with all the Scouting and Math Pentathlon stuff that's going on in my family right now, I'm beginning to feel the evening time pinch.  Combine that with the return of the TV shows I like, and I'm starting to feel like I'm on "family crunch".  Maybe this weekend will be slow enough for me to veg out sufficiently to regain some equilibrium.  

So one of the guys in the office has a kid who has come down with H1N1.  We're all staying away from him as best we can, and he's being responsible and all, but it's still unnerving ( Read more... )

Mass Effect (finished twice, working on a third time)  Favorite RPG/Action game EVAR.
Fallout 3 (finished once, working on one of the dlc missions)  Quite good though artistically bleak as hell

Another week gone by.  My job is still great, but I'm having more trouble keeping my home life (and by that I mean the "alone in the appartment" life) together.  I'm not keeping the place as clean as I used to, and I actually let my clean laundry sit in the basket all week before finally folding it up last night.
