So I followed your journal over from XKCD because I wanted to know if you had an actual journal, or whatever. And then I saw you're in Korea, which is where I am RIGHT NOW, and yeah, I'm not a huge fan of it either. (If your youtube posts are any indication...) Are you here for, like, Fullbright, or ESL, or something else?

Huh, no kidding. You're in the marines? I love Korea, if my youtube posts are any indication. Don't go by LJ - I've switched over to my own site, www.timetorocktheworld.com, as well as just my general youtube account. And facebook. And whatever else. I only use LJ for a few comic subscriptions, xkcd being one of them.

And I'm here to work. Where are you stationed? (I'm going by one of your posts from June)

Yeah--I update more frequently than that, but a lot of them are locked. Sometimes it's wiser that way.

I'm typically stationed in Okinawa, but Korea is the country we do the most exercises in in the west pacific region (among others, there is also the Philippines and Thailand.) I'm in Osan this time. Last time I was in Suwon. This is my third time being here since November. In February I was here for about a month and a half, and holy christ, it was cold.

I had a friend who did full bright and she absolutely loved Korea.

How long have you been here?

Off and on, four years now.

Aside from the hell that's the Korean winter, what don't you like about it here?

I'm not sure where Osan is. I've only lived in Seoul. I imagine most anywhere else in the country is a bit more boring.
