One of the many A-1, top-quality, absolute-best things my job entails is writing event invites. Glamourous, no doubt about it. For this latest one, I tried deciding between preceding "launch" with the word "gala," but as I didn't really know what the word meant I did what most writers would do in my position. I googled gala.
