So July 6th was Sutton Foster's last day as Inga, sadly! She's going off to start rehearsals as Princess Fiona in Shrek the Musical. Kelly Sullivan has taken over the role of Inga as of July 8th.
Andrea Martin's last day as Frau Blucher will be July 20th and Beth Leavel (The Drowsy Chaperone) will take over on July 22nd; and Megan ( Read more... )

It's a shame all these OBC folks are leaving. I'd hoped to get to see it again with that cast.

Sutton at least has known for awhile. I saw the show in February and the stage door guy told me she was leaving the end of June.

Andrea Martin left July 6, earlier than had been announced.

Beth Leavel starts July 15 now. She's going to be fabulous. And I've heard some good things about Kelly Sullivan.

Replacements usually have two-three weeks of rehearsals, usually with the understudies. Sometimes they will get one practice rehearsal with the principals before going on.

As the above poster said, Andrea left the same day as Sutton. Beth starts on Tuesday.

Sutton, Andrea, and Megan have known for a long while that they're leaving. The replacement usually has two weeks of rehearsal and then a "put-in" where they go through the show onstage with cast and crew, as if it were a regular performance.
