This was unbelievably awesome, the best blockbuster movie I've seen this summer.

Don't give it away or anything! How was it in regards to following the book accurately?

Who gives a shit? It was fucking awesome.

Actually, it seemed like there wasn't any scene that I couldn't believe they would leave out / keep in. Purists I was with agreed. As usual, no quidditch.

God damn though, the wizard fire fight was SWEET!

hey lil' bro . . . i totally agree!

i'm a purist, for sure, and i thought the stuff the chose to leave out was well-selected, and the whole movie hung together well.

agreed. the book is massive, and the director managed to chop it down into a coherent and riveting film. i was really impressed.

yeah, i was thoroughly pissed off by this shitty review. entirely off the mark, and if you ask me the bad puns are a little slashfic pervy.

that was one of the most pretentious and dead-wrong reviews of anything i've ever read. the author manages to be an obnoxious hipster AND a Potter purist simultaneously. not so much a film critic, though.

Don't kill me, but I wasn't hugely impressed by it as a film. The effects were really great and the wizard fight in particular was excellent, but I left the theater feeling like I had just sat through 2.25 hours of fluff with little in the way of plot explanation or character development. 2.25 hours of extremely fun fluff, but still fluff.

yeah i buy that, but i at least go into these kind of movies with an understanding that it'll be, well, fluffy. i just happen to love fluff.
