Why are drunk people hard to assassinate?

Simply put, the increased resilience to pain of which a drunk person is capable, coupled with the extreme unpredictability of their behavior. I was -of course- referring to a person who is drunk but still mobile.

I imagine a drunk person would be harder to hit with a sniper rifle due to their unpredictable movements. But unless you are planning for pain itself to be the cause of death, you don't have a case on the resilience to pain. I read once that one of the greatest dangers to drunk people is their resilience to pain because the same amount of physical harm is done as if they were sober. They just don't realize it. That's why drunk people are always freezing to death. They can't feel the cold, but it takes their body in the same way.

I like the quote though. And I still agree, even if my reasons are different.

Well right, but if we've learned anything the only sure way to get someone is to draw up close and either self detonate or go in with a knife. In either of those two scenarios, the drunk person would be easier because they would be less likely to see it coming.
