It's that time of year again.  The faithful are making their pilgrimage to the "World's Fastest Half Mile" at Bristol Motor Speedway.  They come in campers and luxury buses that are worth more than my home.  And they will drop a butt-ton of money (yes, that is the technical term)  in Bristol before they go.  For that reason, we will deal with them

In 1996, we moved to Kingsport at the suggestion of a friend who was living in Abingdon. She raved about a certain minister there in Kingsport. A few years later, that minister followed me to SA and is still here. For his sake, it's a good thing that NASCAR is televised!

Accept my sympathy about how your health issues affect your loves. Mine frustrate me, but you remind me that I am not alone, nor can I give up. Do what you can to take care of yourself, and let God do what He can.

With Michigan Speedway being about 30 minutes from my house, I usually have to avoid driving on Wolf Lake Road, because it turns into the equivalent of a busy highway during race weekends. It is a good thing the races only occur during the summer, but they do give the local economy a boost.

Sorry to hear you're stepping down from the church leadership position, but your health is more important. As long as you are able to keep active, that is great.

I intend to remain a volunteer for the youth, so I will keep my hand in and get my "fix." :D

It looks like a refugee camp here with all the RV's parked in every available space: parking lots, yards, farms, etc.
