Driving Miss Terri

While attempting to navigate my way through Race Weekend Traffic, and feeling much like the poor amphibian in "Frogger," I came to the realization that I do NOT need to be driving until my cataract surgery is completed.  So, now I'm starring in my own Southern sitcom:  Driving Miss Terri.  It sucks to be dependent on other people to drive me, esp ( Read more... )

Yes, summer is what we endure for the glories of spring and autumn. Winter can be rather windy. Even though we have triple digits, I prefer our summer over yours. One word: humidity. Here, we think 50% is outrageously high, but when I was there, the weatherman called 50% humidity, 'relief'. Even so, our summers usually find people hiding in dark rooms near the A/C blower.

We have had some crazy-hot summers here in the past few years. Triple digits a few times. EEEK! At least we are close the mountains, and a trip to Mt. Pisgah will cool you down for sure.
