I watched Silent Hill twice yesterday! Did I like it? I did, I thought they did a great job! Could they of done better? I think so, but I still thought it was an awesome experience. I'm just beyond ready to find out what's gonna happen next, in terms of the second film, cause I'm pretty sure there will be one ( Read more... )

You're right to think they're going to make a sequel. The people behind it have been quoted in Fangoria saying it's pretty much "a given" that there will be another one.

Seriously! I'm just excited to see where it will go, cause if Gans is behind it again, which I'm sure he'd love to do it. They could continue with the same cast / characters, plus new ones. Or they could just start off on a clean slate much like the games. I know he loved 2 the most out of the series, if they made a movie based on 2, that'd be amazing, hell even 3!

the only thing i didn't really like was the climax. i mean it was great that the evangelical crazy lady got torn to shreds by Alessa, but it seems like it could have had a bigger reason besides revenge. in the game it was delhia trying to turn Alessa into a god and your job was to stop it. so that kind of "now its time for the protagonist to step up and save the day" twist would have been nice. but i do think it was uber cool and creepy that Rose was stuck in the limbo fog world in the end.

am glad you liked the movie... am still looking forward to seeing it.. I am currently sick as a dog and have barely gotten out of bed at all today... I am so glad that I have Monday off from work.
