oh gosh i'm going to end up doing that sometime too. i've already set off fire alarms with my cooking.

i'm glad you're okay and your house didn't burn down! that would have been so devastating. it's one of my biggest fears.

Never, ever put out an grease fire with water. Water will cause it to spread. If, God forbid, it ever happens again, remove it from the heat source and cover it with a lid or a damp towel. I've also heard that flour or baking soda will help extinguish it, but only if it's small/contained.

This makes me want fried chicken so bad, though.

thanks for telling me that, i didnt know. i was letting the fire live because i knew that if i put it out with water itd just blow up.

Haha wow I'd be like "fuck off oscar, not yet!" No, but really, I think that is pretty cool, like he's giving someone his company before they pass.

I set my kitchen on fire twice as a teen. >> I still walk away from my cooking, but I've learned to use timers and check it more frequently.
