Header Tutorial
Welcome to my third tutorial and we’ll be making a header of my OC from a story and Harry Potter. Please don’t copy this to exact words, experiment and all that. Thanks to this tutorial for giving me the last few steps and the textures.
Create this!
1) First, choose the pictures you want. For this tutorial I have chosen this one and this one.. Resize Harry using these settings (29x29 or 447pixels x 609pixels). You don’t have to resize Natalie/Celena.
2) Create a new image. For mine, I chose 640x320 (widthxheight in pixels). As a rule of thumb, I always colour the background with black. Hides any mistakes but a few will pop up but you can hide them with a texture or brush.
3) Copy and paste your new images. Put Celena/Natalie to the left hand size then put Harry to the right. Erase the backgrounds on the images because they aren’t the same colour. Merge All.
4) Duplicate the base and set it to Soft Light.
5) Make a new Raster layer and don’t name it anything. Fill it with #0b225b and set it to Exclusion 32%
6) Make another new Raster layer and fill it with #72503e and set it to Soft light.
7) Duplicate your base again and set it to Soft Light 46%
8) Create a new Raster layer, fill it with white and set it to Multiply 77%
9) Duplicate your base again and set it to Light 26%
10) Now go to your original base, desaturate it as well as the duplicated base under your white layer.
11) Grab this texture (I don’t know who made it.) Set it to Screen 57%
12) Now take this texture (by
cauldroncake) and set it to Screen 50%
13) Create a new layer and fill it with #007792 and set that layer to Screen 65%
14) Create a new layer and fill it with Black (#000000). Set this layer to Overlay 100%.
15) Create a new layer and fill it with #0a6a6c). Set this layer to Overlay 30%.
16) Now for the text. Write ‘Celena and Harry’ in this font, in white, size 24 and place it in the middle.
17) Underneath that, write ‘Against All Odds’ in this font, in white and in size 18.
18) Your header is now DONE!
