Rules - Updated 06/02/22
The most important thing to read for this RP! Anyone that breaks the rules may just be warned or kicked out, remember that.
1. No playing other peoples characters, you cannot control them.
2. Your character is not God (or any type of one). So it can't blow up the school if it feels like it; sorry. If you'd like to do campus destruction, please ask the head mods.
3. Please be nice to the other players. IC is okay if your character is mean to another, if that is their nature. OOC fights are not allowed, thanks. Be friends, we like love. If you have a problem with someone, then come to us or take it to them. Just don’t put it out where we can all see it.
4. All members are limited to a number of fifteen characters at the max (at this current time). If you had more than fifteen chars before this rule was enforced, then you have narrowly escaped (...this time).
5. Please don't be stupid with your character. Don't play them if you don't know their character well enough. For instance, Squall Leonheart from FFVIII would not run around happily and singing, unless he was heavily drugged, but come on. He wouldn't do that normally. Be smart.
6. You may pick what grade your character is in, but be reasonable. Someone who is 18 years old would most likely be a senior in HS or in College. Someone is 9 would probley be in Third or Fourth grade. Simple. Your characters could be in a higher grade if you think they are genius and can be. Please give us proof as to why you think that.
7. Pick classes your character would actually take. Kilik from Soul Calibur most likely would not take Gun classes, okay?
8. If your character is dead, but you still want to play them come up with a convincing way to bring them into the storyline. Try to make some logic out of it, so the rest of us can understand as well. You are indeed permitted to play them.
8b. If your character dies due to an accident or event, they must stay dead unless revived via Phoenix Down, Resurrection Spell or some sort of cybernetic transplant (Through the UMN Corp. or Mikado Group).
9. Make sure you read the information about Housing, Rooms, Classes and other what nots, okay?
10. Previously we were not accepting sequels, even those released in America. We have now decided that such sequels like Wild Arms 4, Xenosaga III, Soul Calibur III (pre-storyline, right before Nightmare was revived. As for SC2, the official ending (for us) is that Siegfried destroyed soul edge and is no longer nightmare), and King of Fighters XI (right now, doing pre-story)are allowed.
11. Games exclusively released in Japan are now allowed to be put in, as are their characters, assuming we have valid proof that you are capable and know enough about the applied-for persona. (None of this “This person is a voice actor for this char.”)
12. There will be no listing for Neogeo Battle Colliseum or Harry Potter (or any games based off of movies for that matter) games on the game list. NGBC would cause too many timeline inconsistencies (read: 32 year old Ryo would come to the school and meet the King he knew 5 years ago..unfortunately '5 years ago' is present day.)...and Harry Potter fans for the most part..are scary as hell.
13. Games that have double characters will also not be included on the games list. I.E., AoF Ryo cannot communicate with KoF Ryo. (If you don’t understand this, contact one of the mods.)
14. As with any school, sex happens; whether it be hetero, homo, Realian or robot. Warnings are to be marked on logs appropriately. Please don't change your character's orientation solely to suit your personal fandom. If you want a straight character to go gay, make sure there's a very good cause (ie, they walk in on their girlfriend cheating on them and just can't look at women the same way ever again; or in cases where their sexuality is already vague enough - example: Raphael counts as this. He's flirtatious, but could easily go both ways.).
15. Anyone choosing to take on a "God/Boss character" will need to include an example of how they would play said character. This includes characters such as Sephiroth, Iori Yagami, Heihachi and Cervantes.
16. As a common courtesy, if someone chooses to leave the rp, please defriend them. If you choose to leave, please defriend everyone else. To remedy the situation of people still on your lists who are no longer with us, here's a way to hide them: (Thanks SetsLitany!)
"But if you ban someone from commenting in your journal, their username is... well, not removed, but 'hidden' from your "friend of" list. And to do that, you need to go into the admin console (where you do the friend add) and enter "ban_set username"... somewhat tedious, but it's the only way."
17. Please communicate! If people don't know what's going on, assumptions will be made and that leads to problems. If you have a question, concern or just need to talk to someone, us mods are here to listen. Don't worry, we only bite IC.
