She found the Aussie surgeon at the Nurses' Station perusing a patient file and she didn't really have a way of sneaking up on anyone in these Jimmy Choos, so if he heard her coming, he didn't let on. "Dr Chase, I would like a word, please," she requested, leaving no room for argument in her tone.

He looked up, closing the file over with a polite smile. "Dr Cuddy. How can I help you?" It was rather amusing how quickly the nurses and other staff dispersed from the station as Cuddy approached. No one wanted to accidentally get caught in any backlash.

She waited for him to absorb the comment and then cleared his throat. "What is wrong with House?" It was a small stab in the dark, but her not so sound powers of deduction when it came to House told her that the older man may have told Chase something knowing Chase would sit on it if he decided he wanted to. Chase was a man for his own, and always had been, so there was probably something in it for him, but that was neither here nor there for her. Chase wasn't the one showing neurological symptoms that could kill a patient.
