[Backtagging] I don't mind at all. I much prefer completed roleplays to things that get interrupted by life and abandoned entirely. If you want to wrap it up but don't want to roleplay it all out for whatever reason (maybe we need an ending fast because we've got something else in the not-too-distant future of the canon) then we can just plot it out OOC and post a summary?
[Threadhopping] Please ask OOC, via LJ message or an email/IM, before jumping in. I'll most likely say yes, but I do want a warning and I'd like to discuss what you plan to do first. Some threads are more srsbsns plot to me than others and I want them to be more guided, some are just playing and I don't mind how many people hop in or what they do.

[Offensive subjects] I'm generally pretty difficult to offend. Ludwig is a shy virgin, but that doesn't mean we can't fix that (though underage characters won't get very far hitting on him, aside from making him feel awkward). Talking about the Holocaust is not...really relevant, I hope. I mean, yes he's Germany, but here he's only German, and a German born on Reunification Day, even. It makes me as a player uncomfortable, since roleplays are supposed to be about having fun and the Holocaust really isn't... and Ludwig has no real emotional connection with them other than a sense of shame that his father was sort-of-involved, in that he was supportive of Grindelwald.

[What's okay to mention around him/her] uhhh...not sure this applies to him yet? As your Healer, Ludwig must know your medical history and the details of however you got yourself injured this time. He does not really want to know about your personal life, and his specialty is spell damage, not psychology :'D
[Is there anything you need us to know about interacting with this character? Special physical features, special abilities, etc] he just looks very Aryan - tall, blond, blue-eyed, muscular. In a Muggle school, he'd probably be expected to be a gym teacher or sport coach. But he's younger than he looks, not even 21 yet, and very inexperienced.
[Can I hack that strike or otherwise find out information they'd prefer to keep hidden?] simple strikeouts are hackable with some effort. If I note that he's scribbled something out thoroughly, you'd need to put in a lot of effort to get even a glimpse of what he originally wrote. If a post says non-hackable, it's non-hackable (though you can contact me if you have a good reason for wanting to be able to see it, and maybe we'll work something out). Ludwig's mind is extremely disciplined and not really a nice place to be - though he's not formally trained in Occlumency, he does have knowledge of mind-magic as a healer and has done some reading. He will fight back if he feels his mind is threatened, and he's got years in Durmstrang and a violent temper that he tries to hide.
**Special note - some entries may be noted to be in another language; Ludwig has traveled a lot and knows two or three (German, French, and English, in that order) very well, and another two with decent fluency (Russian and Bulgarian, though he is significantly better at Russian, especially speaking, and his handwriting in Cyrillic might as well be a cipher). If your character does not know the language or a translation spell (not sure how difficult those are), then those would not be hackable entries to your character.
[Can I troll/mindscrew/mess with in general?] Teasing is fine - anyone who knows German will know "Kirsche" means "Cherry" - and that Ludwig has as-good-as-advertised that he's a virgin, albeit accidentally. He will take points from students who disrespect him, though, and he knows a lot of nasty spells to use on faculty or staff who piss him off. Gilbert is pretty much the only person who will probably be able to get away with just about anything.
[Can I spit at/jinx/step on/etc? (i.e. fighting)] Again, students will get points taken and probably detentions for disrespect. Ludwig knows he's the new meat on campus an he's perfectly willing to set himself up as the asshole with no sense of humor. Faculty or staff will get quieter revenges - Ludwig has been bullied before and knows how to get his own back. If provoked into a full-on physical conflict, Ludwig won't back down - he will defend himself, and he has some training in hand-to-hand, in addition to generally being larger and more muscular than the average wizard.
[Can I flirt with/hug/kiss/use other means of non-violent physical contact with this character?] Feel free to flirt with him. Even kiss him. Again, students run a high risk of getting points taken from them, because it's inappropriate and he'll think you're teasing him. He'll generally think anyone making romantic or sexual overtures at him is teasing, because most of his life he's been utterly isolated and uninterested in that (largely as self-defense, since no one really was interested in him). If you want to seriously court Ludwig, send me an email and I'll give you some tips |D
(NOTE: as oblivious as Ludwig is, I am probably worse. If you're wondering why I'm not reacting to your flirting, you might wanna tell me that's what you're doing :'D)
[Anything else?] Ludwig may seem like a hardass, but if you really wanna worm into his heart, show him that you care about animals. He loves animals more than people because animals have never been afraid of him. He has studied veterinary magic in his spare time and continues to read up on it - if something happens to a pet of yours, don't hesitate to bring it to the Hospital Wing. You'll see a very tender side of Ludwig he doesn't normally show.
