Jill pulled harder on the rope that secured the boat to the island dock, squinting up into the sunlight. The beach was clear of trees for a good twenty feet before it gave way to dense foliage, and honestly it didn't look quite so bad. Quite. She carefully stepped out onto the dock that was honestly only half there, and looked back at Charlie.
