Jill didn't usually stay in the compound long, what with the closed in space and lack of light and all. She usually ate her lunch in the kitchen, and on tense days even took that outside, too. Staying in the rec room? Not likely. She heard singing, though, when she walked past the entrance. Jill loped the last few steps to the rec room, her brows ( Read more... )

Sometimes, a girl just needed to curl up in the closest thing there was to a living room with a good chick flick. Those definitely weren't hard to find, but when the little bookshelf thingy decided what you got to watch (she begged it not to give her anyone else in drag), it was a little more on the hard side. But, it offered Ten Things I Hate About You without too much effort and she loaded the cannister happily ( ... )

Jill's face blossomed into a smile. "You're Buffy, right?" She moved closer and sat on the couch - the other end so that she wasn't overly close, but close enough.

"He's...." She trailed off, blushing - saying something like really gorgeous was utterly true, but also seemed kind of skeevy. She normally wasn't this on edge or polite, it was just... Xander had told her so much about her, and Jill was almost expecting her to have a halo or for flowers to spring up from where she walked. This was Buffy, and... if Buffy didn't like her, she didn't really know what Xander would do, but she didn't really think he'd just descide that it was all completely fine and the greatest thing in the world.

"Very handsome." That seemed safe.

Huh. Fame. Cool.

"Yeah," Buffy said, eying her a bit. It wasn't exactly suspicious, she was just trying to figure out who the hell was asking. The island population was big enough, now, that there was no way someone could really know everyone, and she really didn't look like she was from Sunnydale.

"I'm... sorry. I don't know you, do I?"

Jill blinked in surprise. "Oh! No, I'm sorry. We've not met, but I've seen you training with Tim. I'm Jill- Jill Pole? I..." She actually paused for a second, the first time she'd ever done that.

"I'm one of his Titans." It wasn't that it was silly or anything, it was just... that half of her wanted to say I'm training with the Titans, but that was wrong. She was one of them, no matter what.

"And- I mean. Xander-" Jill didn't even realise she was kind of wringing her hands in her shirt. "We're- I've heard a lot about you." Which might explain why Jill looked like she was face to face with a lion that might decide she was lunch.
