She didn't go back to Clark. She'd always love him, but she'd moved on with her life now, not to mention Kara could be a lot more fun in some ways. The two spent quite a bit of time together, saving lives and being on the road, but eventually Kara wanted to return to Metropolis and see her cousin.
Lana went with her, and even helped her set up her own secret identity as her niece, Linda Lang.
Today she's having coffee at an outdoor cafe, having spent a good amount of time looking at apartments for herself and Kara.
Clark is the last thing on her mind.]

He moved on, too. To an extent. He worked at the Planet, he went on with his life, and he even dated. Sometimes. Things hadn't worked out with Lois, and he had learned to be okay with that.
Now he's taking a break from work to go get a coffee. Clark Kent take a break? Yes, the world just might be ending. But he needs some room to breathe. However when he spots Lana at the very cafe he's going to, all of that air leaves him. And he stalls.
Once again he is that nervous bumbly fool he was in highschool, and he's just standing there....staring. It's what he's good at.]

She doesn't move, just sits and smiles as she stares back at him.]

[He doesn't even look at his watch or think about it, he just moves over to sit beside her. And he'll watch her some more, taking it in.]
It's really good to see you.
