So far summer has been WONDERFUL!! Even going to aunt Edna's for a week wasn't THAT bad because Lavender kept on sending me all these nice owls and sweets and stuff! She's the BEST girlfriend ever, even when she's spending all her time with Parvati and they keep on talking in some sort of secret language about things I don't understand

We're both fine. And I've been checking in occasionally but I really don't have much to write.

What sort of secret language?

How can you not have much to write?? It's SUMMER!! You should be doing lots of things and having lots of things to write about!!!

They just keep on talking about people I've never heard of and nudging each other and whispering things like "she really needs to find someone more suitable". I just don't understand them!

meet me? that's a pretty huge...i mean not that i don't think your parents ought to meet me, because i think it is sweet of them...but whoa. big. i mean really that's...but i really would like to come for the weekend, you aren't that far from here anyway, so maybe mum would let me fly! (i mean, i did all right on my apparation test, but i'm not sure i'm ready just to go that far yet, i've not done more than up the stairs or through a hoop and everything.)

anyway, yes, i'd love to stay, and meet your parents and everything.

and also it is not a secret language. it is a very special, top-secret code which i cannot disclose here. needless to say, very hush-hush.
