It depends on which end you start counting from. If we take the 'tan' ones as the tag-end, then two of the greens are in slot #2 and two are in slot #3
All of the characters used in the hex codes comes back to 3. The numerals are 3, 6, 9, and 0. The letters are C and F which translates to 3 and 6 if you do A=1, B=2, etc. Now, web-safe hex codes are all comprised of the six characters used here, so that's not totally surprising, but the fact that the colors are used on a cube does have me thinking that the password probably relates to threes as was mentioned above.
This is great. So all web-safe colors use some combination of 0-3-6-9-C-F. Hrmm.. They also all contain repeated digits which allow them to be written as 'triples' too: e.g., tan #CC9933 is also #C93
It's possible (just guessing here) that the vertical ones correspond to one word in the password and the horizontal ones correspond to the other word. That would imply two words: one with 4 letters and one with 5, which would depart from the prior 4+3 letter passwords.
