Subcutaneous fluid administration! It's a good opportunity to play doctor AND make your doggy feel better. It's not too difficult. You'll get the hang of it fairly quickly, I'm sure. Where are you sticking the doggie?
its your basic, run-of-the-mill lactated ringers. its fluid replacement so he doesnt get all dehydrated and what not.
when i did it- i poked him a little to see what would happen, and i was instantly covered in sweat. it sucked. he turned around wicked fast and looked at me like- wtf :]
so in conclusion to very looooong reply...i havent done it again. but strange enough, after that little episode, he hasnt thrown up or acted sick since. but it was just awful.
