Wow, I bet alot of people had no idea how Gamestop REALLY is. I am glad though that someone is pointing out how horrible it can be, and letting people know before they jump in head first. I learned alot from it, the main being that I will NEVER work there.

The thing about gamestop/Eb being spanked is that it potentially doesn't matter in the overall picture because of the fact that they're part of a corperation that also owns Barnes and Noble and Starbucks, two areas that Best Buy, Wal-Mart, and Target can't touch. Infact, I think the only store that competes with them in all three areas is Hastings? I dunno.

While I did complain about the subscription - I personally think it's worth it, but mostly for the game informer subscription. While I mostly don't trust the reviews, I do like to hear what's coming out and they have a general sense of knowing what they're talking about, despite sometimes being apart of the hype machine. The reason I say they're worth it though is because the card essentially pays for itself in the first 3 issues if you were going to buy a game magazine anyways and really, they're all the same at this point.

My problem with their previews.....and really everyone's previews is that they NEVER talk negative about anything. I can only remember 3 things EVER being said negative in a preview in my whole history of reading game magazines and I used to read Gamepro back when you had 3 choices for game magazin, one of which was Nintendo Power, so if you had a Genesis like me, you were SOL.
