[ONE-SHOT] I've finally found you.

I got an unexpected call one afternoon. It was a private number.

“Hello,” I picked up the call.

There was a dead silence at the end of the line. I thought it might be a prank call.

“Hello?” I said again.

“Hi,” The caller said. “Are you Choi Minho?” The gentle voice asked.

“Yes, you’re?” I was surprised how could the person know my name when we never spoke before?

“I’m… Taemin,” He whispered.

I gasped. Taemin? Could he be…?

“Taemin?” I was doubtful.

“Yes, I saw the article on the papers recently that you’re looking for me, so I decided to call,”

I had received too many prank calls like these, I didn’t believe he was Taemin. When I was about to hang up, but something held me back. What if he’s really Taemin?

“Hello? Are you there?” He asked.

I didn’t realize I was lost in my thoughts for at least 5 minutes. “Yes, can we meet?”

I entered the coffeehouse. I was told that “Taemin” was wearing a red top and black skinny jean. I gazed around the coffeehouse, no sign of the guy described. I knew it, it was another deceit. I shouldn’t have got my hopes high up, I was so disappointed. Then, I heard someone calling out to me.

“Minho~” I spun around. I saw him. It was him. My feelings told me that it was really him this time. I’ve finally found my little brother.

“Taemin!” I exclaimed. “Where have you been all these while, dongsaeng? I’ve been searching high and low for you. I miss you terribly,” I cried.

“Hyung, I miss you too. I’ve been here in Seoul for a few weeks already, I was trying to find you but to no avail. Thankfully, I saw your article,” He smiled.

“Omma told me that I’ve an elder brother living in Seoul. Before Omma died…”

“Omma died?” I interrupted. I could feel my eyes swelling up.

“Yeah, she died of lung cancer. Anyway, before she died, she told me about you. She told me when she took me away, I was only 3 and you were 5. She mentioned that we’re really close,”

“I couldn’t believe after all these years, we could meet again. I mean, look at you! You’ve grown up, so handsome and promising!” I was proud of him.

Taemin then told me about what he was doing in the past 15 years. He joined a dancing academy; won numerous competitions; etc.

“I wish I was there to see all those happening, I’m sorry,” I sighed.

“Hyung, it’s okay. You can start now,” He laughed.

We stared into each other’s eyes for the longest time. All the memories we shared started to flow back, even though it was a little. I reached out for a hug, we hugged each other so tightly.

“I miss you, hyung,” Taemin said.

“I miss you too, Taemin,” I breathed.

“Let’s start creating memories that we failed to do in the past 15 years,” I said.
