Luckily with Sitka it's the rubber and leather of your shoes that you have to worry about; she loves giving clothing and accessories "bunny kisses" :)

One of my rats got a small ulceration that developed from a scratch on her eye. The small amount of swelling from it preventing her from closing it all the way, and the lack of lubrication eventually made her lose the eye. She wasn't very happy with us attacking her with drops, ointment, creams, and pain meds at all hours of the day either. :(
