We used it when we went to India last, and although there still was a queue, it was much shorter than the queue for people who were doing it the old-fashioned way (like my unfortunate sister, as she was with kids and BA wouldn't allow them to do it online). I think we still queued for about an hour but (a) it's usually longer for long-haul than short-haul, and (b) that was when the system was quite new, so they've probably streamlined since then.

Thanks for this, I always get a bit paranoid before flying especially about getting to the airport in time to get everything done.
Glad it actually works, I assume its all well signposted?

Yes, if you're going from Heathrow T4 the online checkin desks were just to the right of the ordinary ones and very easy to find.

(I always get a bit paranoid about time too -- for some reason, missing a plane is one of my greatest phobias...)

Hope you have a great time and the body problems are just brief stress twinges that clear up while you're away.

Hello! It's good to see you online. I only started an LJ recently, largely to keep in touch with far flung friends like the Madrid posse. Have a great trip.
