I'm a huge fan of the beauty contests, more than anything else on pokemon it would be sweet to see some posts dedicated to the topic! Strategies, effective moves, bragging etc!

We've got a really intellectual topic on opinions about contests an entry down, but I know eventually we'll talk about the mechanics of contests because I really like them too! I've developed movesets and strategies for contests as well. :) Since we've started off on contest topics, we'll probably do that soon!

I saw the ad on pokemon and wanted to join! I really like the Pokemon Musicals, though I have only done a few so far, and in Platinum I was a huge Berry grower.

I just like the idea of exploring the side activities a bit.

I hope you'll enjoy your exploration of the side activities, I know that most people I've met here so far really enjoy them and can provide a lot of information!

I need to do more Musicals, (despite my distaste for them replacing contest) as there are a large amount of people who enjoy them. With this surge of Black and White fun we'll talk about them soon.

I was surprised that they replaced contests too but the Musicals are cute and I hope you end up enjoying them.

I got a ton of berries. I wasn't always as careful about watering as I should have been and I still got a ton.

I should start up my game again and try some Poffins and contests... I still have all those berries!

I really need to start again as well. I had millions of berries on my Pearl but then the game got lost in school and I lost everything. (sob sob) I just need to get far in a DPPt game again to be ready for contests and berry growing again! I have a fear with BW everyone will abandon these features from DPPt but this community gives me hope~!

I used to water my berries everyday on the way to school, every lunch, on my way back to school, and before I went to sleep every night. I broke the cycle once and I could never get it back.

Hey everyone, I'm Kaitlin!
I love battling in Pokemon, but I find that after you've gone through all your battles, the side activities such as contests, Pokeathlon, and breeding still keep their charm and keep me coming back to the games time and time again.
I also am quite enjoying doing the Pokemon musicals in Pokemon Black & White!
Everyone focuses on the battling aspect, but I think it's a good idea to have a place like this to talk about the more overlooked and laidback features of the Pokemon games.

I'm glad you agree with my views! I know hardcore players label all these things as "distractions" or "unneeded", but they really fun things to do! They can always be done when all the story battles are over with.
