You should give The Dresden Dolls a listen; the singer has amazing control over her voice, which in turn has control over your insides, if that's what you're into.

I highly recommend Psappp's "Tiger, My Friend" - it's pretty hard to describe, but I'd call it a wonderfully eclectic electronic album full of odd sounds and uplifting vocals. Very unique, for sure.

Also, a lot of stuff by Stars tends to put me in a melty happy mood, try their "Nightsongs" album first!
