Hahaha, I like that last sentence, there. :-)

It used to be normal for people your age to have kids, but it's not as much now (although I have lots of friends your age who do). So I guess you're surrounded by people who have no concept of what your life is like, when in the past you wouldn't have been.

Here's a little quote from the Dhammapada (the core text of Buddhism) for you:

A single day's life of one who puts out great effort
Is better than a life of a hundred years
Lived in idleless and sluggishness

And from another section:

Don't underestimate good,
Saying, "It can't happen to me."
Water falling, drop by drop, will fill even a large pot.
Likewise, the wise man, accumulating good, little by little,
Becomes goodness itself.

Many Hugs and Congrats to you. I keep wanting to come visit, but I worry for my car to make it the 25 miles to work EVERYDAY. Let alone driving over the scary of 17. My car trembles in fear at its very mention.

I suppose its okay to be anxious about these things. I mean, its a baby. It's entire existence depends on you at this stage. And I'm sure you're doing a wonderful job with all of it.

Hey Becca! I was sooo great to see you and Becca Jr. the other day!
I need to come and visit the next time I am in santa cruz (especially since i hear you guys got ROck band!)
in other news, I would like you to leave a comment on my friend Brittany Heideman's livejournal http://pinkbrita.livejournal.com/ She has a one year old, but is in a lot of online baby comunities and it's really ben a benefit for her both on an informative Q/A level and a personal support level (she and the other LJ moms get together and clean each others houses and babysit and stuff) she is also nice. I'm sure she can at the least reccomend some resources for you or answer questions and stuff. maybe you guys can even arrange a play date!
anyways, Its nice to see you and see you post in LJ. you should upload more baby photos!
KISSES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Becca I'm sorry you're so tired and frustrated. Here is what I suggest but of course I am not a Mom so take it with a grain of salt.

1.) Sleep is always good

2.) Rent the movie the Waitress. It is a chick flick that will make you feel good. It's not about babies but it is about becoming/being a Mom and it will make you laugh. And laughter is always the second best medicine to sleep.

3.) Chocolate!!! It is perfect for a Becca moment even if it only lasts one minute. Of course Hot Chocolate will last longer.

As a side note how cute is Chris?? Helping you set play dates up.

I do think you need to hang out with people who have babies. Women with real suggestions who have been through what you are going through. Not people like me who have no clue!
Also the average age for women in the US to have their 1st babies is 25 so I am sure there are plenty of people in your boat.
And last but not least a majority of my mothers BFFs are women who have kids the exact same age as me who I played with when I was a baby.

feel better!
