Reminds me of something. There's a sociologist you may have heard of, Emile Durkheim. Anyway, a girl wrote this long paper about Emily Durkheim, and wow, why don't people make more out of the fact that she was a female in what was then a man's world (sociology). Well, it's Emile, not Emily, of course, and he was male. :) Still, quite a good, valid paper.

Seriously though, Elie... amazing. The Holocaust is something that touches me very deeply... and the survivors who are out to make the world a better place after seeing that much darkness, are some of my heroes. I was so sad when the VT shooter took out Liviu Librescu, I had read about him as part of a Holocaust project! But, a fitting way for him to die, I guess... the survivors are so big on not standing idly by in the face of evil, that even knowing you can't win, you can't fail to protest it, combat it, with your last breath.
