Puck probably looked liked some demented thief, sneaking into his own room and hoping none of the other occupants would notice he was there. He'd done a damn good job of avoiding them all week. And that wasn't easy considering John didn't do 'avoid', at least Puck figured he would have figured it out by now and was keeping his distance because he remembered the last time Beth had left the village and Puck had mostly hidden in his room.
This time tho his room had a pregnant woman and a little girl who could read his mind in close proximity and he didn't want to expose either of them to his volatile temper. Bad enough Veronica was dealing with it. She at least didn't have a son who'd left the village to think about, or bad people who kept her in a cage and got angry at her all the time both of which he was sure his current mental state would dredge up.
Still, he'd promised Angel a gift for the last night of Hanukkah and he didn't want to disappoint her even if he hadn't done anything else for the holiday this year. He put a wrapped package (a Barbie car) by Angel's bedroom door and then started to sneak back out.
