Zoe knows that the baby's going to need a place to sleep. So did the village, since this morning a room where there hadn't been a room before appeared across the hall from River's. But she still needs a crib and all the furniture that goes with it. Clothes and...did babies need toys? The baby needs something, and she can't help but think that Wash would have been great at this. That was the plan, he'd buy the things, he'd love that part. Zoe's just not a shopper. She likes nice things, she just never really cares to do the browsing part.

There's no telling if River'd be a help or not on a shopping trip, but the girl's taken to talking to Zoe's belly, so Zoe figures that means she's at least taken a liking to the whole idea of the baby.

Knocking on River's door, she pokes her head in. "Busy, mei-mei?"
