Kyla left the clinic after checking up on J.L. Apparently he'd be there for a while and she was sort of glad for that. She still needed time to figure out exactly what to say to him. She had been avoiding a lot of the big stuff when she caught him awake. She just didn't know what to say to him.
She pushed through the doors and headed for the counter to order a coffee. Coffee tasted a lot better here than back home - back home it was made out of bark from a tree. Kyla paid for the coffee and then took a seat to wait for Laura. Her mind drifted to Leoben and her lips pressed together in a subtle frown. Things were complicated again.
