Every Little Thing She Does is Magic (Dual Pup - open)
It was not Monday. Monday's were inventory days, but as she hadn't bothered since Wes had gone today seemed like as good a day as any.
If she was honest she hadn't bothered with much of anything, at least where the magic shop was concerned even Wes' desk sat like he'd left it in their office. Easier to ignore it, shabby of the village to leave it for her to pack up when it whisked him and the rest of his belongings away without warning.
She was sitting before a book shelf, dusting and rearranging as she checked books off a list - surprised to see that some had sold in her absence (how did that work exactly) when the bell over the door tinkled.
"Well isn't this charming," the voice was smooth like jazz, and British and she recognized the face when she looked over at him even though they'd not met in person.
"Ethan Rayne," she got to her feet and offered her hand. "Lilah Morgan - formerly Wolfram and Hart."
He arched his brow, eloquently she would have to admit. He didn't know her but her firm was of course familiar.
"And apparently now my business partner," he took her hand, shook it and then showed her a small card like the one she'd received when the shop had been given to her and Wesley.
"Damn village." She muttered.
"I do agree wholeheartedly my dear." He looked around, idly curious and wandered into the office with her following - stopping in the doorway. Unwilling to enter. "Enchanting set up you... we, have here."
"I like it." He took off his coat, and hung it on the rack beside a sweater of Wes's that he'd forgotten and began to roll up his sleeves.
"Shall we get to work then?" He picked up a pile of books from the desk to carry back out into the main area. If he noticed her slight start he didn't comment.
Soon they were both doing inventory, Ethan with an amused air as he familiarized himself with the items for sale - wasn't that amusing him in charge of a whole array of magical bits and bobs and Lilah more subdued cataloging the books in the 'off limits' area.
