Feelings on the matter [closed to John]

Erica doesn't take issue with the fact that John has a past. She has one - they've both been married, they've both had children. But there are times when it's hard to ignore the fact that he was with a woman who could be her twin. A woman he loved, a woman who loved him. And a woman who, every time she cries for him, he runs to. She doesn't want to he the jealous wife. Most days she isn't.

But these days and weeks after having Madeline, of being nothing but a feeding machine, of getting little rest. So when he goes off when Juliet calls, Erica smiles and nods, but stews. It's not a big thing. It's not a big deal. She has no idea what she's even stewing about. But it's made her quieter, more doting to Madeline. Erica has absolutely no idea how to approach this without sounding...bitchy for lack of a better, less juvenile word. Lying with Madeline on the couch, she watches the baby grasp at her shirt, trying to get a fistful in her mouth, grunting contently.
